ARUSHI MURDER
CASE
A Double murder done by the parents from the THALWAR
family? How can we parents, living in this 21st century, react on
such dastardly act from the Daddy & Mummy of an innocent girl in her early
teens. The parent has brutally killed their minor daughter said to have done
the offensive act in her innocence due to external forces at that moment of
time? In the final judgment pronounced after hearing thread bear
about the case, the learned judge in his wisdom has punished the couple for
life imprisonment. In what category such
a heinous crime can be classified? I think the worst category we can think of !
Can we classify the murders in the following categories?
1.
Direct murder on sudden impulse -unintentional
2.
Planned murder ( cold blooded ) - intentional
3.
Direct murder for self defense -
personal security
4.
Indirect murder through “ Professional killers”
5.
Ambushed murder ( Military operation)
6.
Rarest of the rare – butchering/slicing into pieces/ packing
in boxes etc!!?
Now our present case can be classified in any of the
above categories? It may be on “Sudden impulse “of the parents when they saw
their daughter in an awkward and inexcusable situation with a man. Even then,
can the loving parents murder their minor girl child in this fashion? She must
have erred due to compelling circumstances and the parents should not have gone
to that extent of killing her without giving their daughter a chance to correct
herself. Instead they should have apprehended the man and handed him over to
police.
THALWAR means SWORD. The members of the family are
equipped with sword “to kill” as implied by the family name? This case reminds
me the words of Lady Macbeth in Shakespeare’s drama “Macbeth” when she says”,
All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hands”, after killing
king Duncan..Lady Macbeth at least repented about the crime she did. But here
the parents are still defending their stand in this murder case where their teenage
daughter was killed! According to me they cannot be termed as “MATHA PITHA”.
The saying of the “Holy Books” is coming to pass in our time. All our dealing
with children & grownups must have a Divine nature in thought & action.
