condemned by one and all, irrespective of any consideration. We are all in this
human shape created by GOD and placed in different areas to look after our
fellow beings. GOD has given us the Spirit of tolerance and co-existence duly
Sharing, Caring and Bearing all kinds of happy and unhappy situations. Man made
bifurcations are only to give variations in our approach to the common problems
confronting the people of the world living in different areas of their choice.
anybody found guilty of any Evil doing, is to be viewed as a criminal without
any sort of consideration based on his/her social status or religion/country
etc. This kind pf approach only will take us to a common GOAL of annihilating
the DEVIL from our midst. Taking sides in such circumstances will viciate the
very nature of our existence as Human beings, responsible for the protection
and maintenance of all species living in this world.<br />
<br />
Therefore, let not our thoughts and action be biased on introvert tendencies,
but instead oriented on common interests beneficial to the people at large. Let
the Religious faith of a person be his/her choice and let it not be mixed with
the harmonious set up of the society by unnecessary exposure. The cream of all
faith can be harnessed to nourish the growth of the social structure, to a
healthy and peaceful state. Let us put our shoulders together under ONE YOKE
and try to pull out of the DEVIL and his KINGDOM from the face of this MOTHER EARTH,
whose children are to be ONE IN BODY AND SPIRIT ...<br />

1. Silence is Golden but Patience is Peace Maker<br />
<br />
2. Birth is a necessary Entry to Life and Death is a necessary Exit from Life , the former with Welcome and the latter without Welcome !<br />
<br />
3. The greatest Men & Women of Fame had a Tincture of Madness in them - (Aristotle)<br />
<br />
4. A Doctor must be "Patient" to treat a "Patient" to avoid treatment as an "Inpatient" due to ""Impatient" "nature of the Doctor who does not have "Patience"while attending a Patient!<br />
<br />
5. Birth & Death are the Beginners of Life, the former for the Earthly Life and the latter for the Eternal Life !</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Dear brothers & Sisters and children,</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">I stand before you not as a speaker but as one
of the Eldest persons. gathered here!</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In fact
the subject lesson on which we share today, according to the Church Calendar is
“CARING AND ACCEPTING THE ELDERLY”. The lessons we heard this morning also are
focussing on this aspect of our behaviour towards the Elders, both our parents
and the older people in the community.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">God has given us life in four Packages 1) The
Child hood 2) The teenage 3) The Youth and 4) The Old age. All the four are of
different nature and specialities. In Childhood the entire care is taken by the
parents particularly the Mother, as the child is unable to do anything for itself.
Thereafter during the Teenage the parents have a remote control on the children
in their daily needs both at home and in their education etc.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">During the Youth or Adolescent period there is
a total change in the personality development and he or she looks after their
needs themselves with occasional help from their parents and friends. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now the next
stage is very important as it has multifaceted features which have to be
handled carefully. First of all the Elders themselves must know their
limitations. This fact is to be accepted by them. The children and those who
are with these old people also must accept their inabilities and support them
to tide over the problems. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Before we examine the different aspects of
Elderly people of this generation, we may go back to our ancestor’s period of
living together as a joint family, sharing the burden together in their family
and attending the needs of the elderly people. Feeling of isolation is not felt
by the elders and this situation makes them forget their infirmities. They also
share the happiness and sorrows together with members of the family.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">God gave a companion to Adam only because he
did not want Adam to be alone and in isolation. That shows that by creation we
need mutual support to live in whatever stage we are. King David was anxious
about his old age and he prays to God not to forsake him in his old age when he
will be feeble in strength. He pleads God to give long life to convey the God’s
Glory and Power and Strength to the future generation. God answered his request
and promised him to take care of him. Read Paslms 71 and Isaiah 46/4</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The old
age is an agonising period of life and you need a comforter to help you. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>WHILE Jesus Christ was on the cross He <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>asked <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>His <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>disciple John to look after His mother Mary.
This confirms the fact that elders cannot live alone in old age. Jesus also
tells His disciples that, HE will send a Comforter to them after He is gone.
This instance clearly shows that we must take care of our Elders in their
difficult period of life.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>GOD
wants the youngsters to obey His commandments (Deuteronomy 5-16, Ephesians
6/1-2 and Colossians 3/20). Also the elders must on their part train up their
children the way of life so that they will not depart from it in their life on
this earth.( See Proverbs 22-6)</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The younger generation must therefore be alert
to learn more from their parents and Elders so that they will look after their
parents in later stages. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">EXODUS 21-17 is an important verse to be seen
by our Youngsters.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">In this context we have to remember that the
old age is our 2nd Childhood. As we were brought up by our parents
we have to return the same service of supporting and caring our parents in
their old age. This reciprocal support is our benign duty given to us by God
and we have to fulfil that responsibility while on Earth. The modern tendency
of sending our dear ones to an old age home or any other distant places will
not do justice to our duties towards our Father and & Mother. Please
remember that. These elders in these homes will not be happy and in Peace. They
always like to be in the same house during<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>the last lap of their earthly journey and any amount of comforts offered
in the old age homes will not match with the homely comforts they get in their
Homes with their dear ones. Your presence will be a “ Soothing Balm” for their
mental agony and bodily pains.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The recent decision of the Supreme Court also
subscribe to the fact that the elders should be in their own houses and the
children cannot put them elsewhere. According to “The Senior Citizen act 2007”,
negligence and desertion in the welfare of parents and Elders is a punishable
criminal offence. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Recognition is very important in the relation
to our Elders. We must respect them and always accept their disposition and
extend a helping hand even if they are not related to us. A waving or
gesticulation is enough to keep them happy, as they feel that you are with
them. This will give great feelings for those who are lonely with attended
problems. Never discard a person in distress. We cannot be Good Samaritan
always. But at times when opportunity comes we must render a helping hand. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Now coming back to our topic on Elderly Care<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>and Acceptance of them with due Respect and
also sharing their problems in life.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Acceptance</span></b><span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">
of old people</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Both the old and young must accept the
difficulties of old age. Accepting the disabilities of old age and getting rid
of them by mutual support. King David knew his old age limitations and he
prayed to God for strengthening him in his old age. He pleaded for long life so
that he can pass on to the coming generation about the power and strength of
God.i Ref: Paslms 71- 9-18</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Joseph accepted his father Jacob and all his
belongings and his brothers to Egypt during the famine in Canan, with the
permission of King Pharoah, who sent his chariots to bring them to Egypt.
Joseph loved and he accepted his brothers who wanted to kill him in the past.
Genesis 46-28-34</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Ruth accepts Naomi her Mother in law and
renders all help to her in her old age. Acceptance follows Respect. Ruth
respected her old mother in law and protected her. “Hoary head is a crown of
Glory if it be found in the ways of righteousness.” Proverbs 16-31</span></div>

our behaviour towards our Elders. “Honour thy Father and Mother as thy Lord and

<span style="font-family: "baskerville old face" , "serif"; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The children must be brought up to obey and

Lawful decision by the Judges</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
In India we have different tiers of courts starting from Sub
courts to District courts/High court and the Ape court (Supreme Court). The
court cases referred to the lower courts are often being referred to the higher
courts for further review and orders.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Applying the “same rule” for “similar crimes” must normally
be disposed of in the same manner! But it is often seen that the judgement of a
lower court, when referred to the higher courts differ in “style and use”. That
means an element of individual discretion is being applied by judges in the
matter of dispensation of each case. In such cases, not only delay takes place,
but also concerns over the decisions of one or more courts brings in
controversial features in the judiciary.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
“To err is human” is a natural occurrence and the judge has
indicated this fact while dealing with the matter of deletion or abolition of
the “death penalty” from our judicial system. Now if the authority can “err” in
the final decision, how much more the ordinary criminal can “err” in his
action?</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The “killer instinct” in human beings is in-built in his
nature and he/she on sudden impulses or emotion commits murder. Also there can
be “cold blooded” murder. To deal with such cases, the Judiciary has to find
out an alternate means of restricting “human slaughter”, if at all the existing
law is amended and Death Penalty abolished. Isolation of the murderer from
outside world, in restricted space in Jail till he “joins the majority” in
natural course, seems to be an alternative punishment..</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
An instance of 60 years delay was reported by a senior
advocate Sri. N.N.Sgunapalan in manorama dated 4.9.2015. It may not be perused
further as the complainant and the respondent might not be alive to follow up
the case! Another murder case is still pending for final disposal (Sister
Abhaya case)! The agonising moments of the family members continues till date!
The delay in finalising the punishment to the criminal, the system is
indirectly punishing the family members of the victim for a prolonged period of
time. How can we justify this type of mental torture to the relatives of the
victim?. Unless our system is revamped on a higher Pedestal of Excellence in
the application of Law, we may reach a point of “No return” in the Matter of
JUSTICE.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
DIVINITY IN our action will terminate all our problems in
adjudication.</div>

in Wayanad by a Man-Eater (Tiger), resulting in her death, shows how we are
exposed to the Wild Animals. We have had such incidents earlier also. These
fatal attacks are mainly due to the Exodus of the wild animals from deep
jungles to human inhabited area in search of prey which are either extinct or disappeared
due to the breakdown of “Jungle Laws” by the developers and resort builders in
the forest territory. </span></div>

or the Tribal people knew the Jungle rules and lived together without any
serious damages, avoiding direct encounter with wild animals.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>But the recent growth of huge structures and

the deep forest, in search of prey.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">

Such case only caused the death of the village woman in Wayanad .To guard against

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Indian socio religious status was one of the best in
the world as it tolerated the presence of different religious groups all over
India. Of late this status of religious
unity is being exploited by few politicians to gain their own ends. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The faith in God is a personal right and he/she can
adopt any faith he/she likes. The parental care and support will naturally
prompt the descendants to continue in the same faith. But fundamentally the
human beings are one and the same, and hence there cannot be any discrimination
on this account. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Unity in Diversity was our watchword and we could
win over the foreign rulers only due to our united efforts. Now after
independence we started thinking in a deviated route due to the influence of introvert
political leaders who clandestinely developed antisocial relations by injecting
the religious enmity and hatred amongst the people of India.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The population growth is a natural phenomenon and

maintain social balance in life with adequate basic amenities.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The recent campaign and exhortation by
fundamentalists reported in (Times of India) dated 22nd January 2015,
gives us a feeling that we are “running at a tangent” from our policy of
demographic growth in India. Increasing
the number of people in one religious sector will not produce any positive
result in the peaceful existence of the people. Also the political leaders must
not be under the false impression that “one faith and one religion” will settle
our issue on social and economic progress.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Therefore these introvert and arrogant political
leaders must stop such foolhardy thoughts and come forward to take up more
responsible jobs of uniting the country as a “well knit” nation. It is my personal
request to all the public servants both in Political & administrative
fields to take care of our common men, so as to enable them to stand on their
own legs in the matter of their daily needs.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

ATTACKING CRICKET?<br />
The new "generation cricket game" has gone beyond the olden days
glorious playing in good sportsmanship of maintaining the team
discipline to the highest order.<br /> The present cricketing is almost a
"Close Quarter Battle" between the bowler and the batsman. Earlier the
bowling was "Under Arm" action and later on moved on to " Over Arm"
delivery. <br /> The recent fast bowling action varies with different bowlers. Instead of the vertical circle over the shoulders<span class="text_exposed_show"> the tilted circular arm movements always tend to "Throwing action" leading to injury to the batsman above the belt.<br />
Moreover the technique in this game is not only the fast ball, but
intelligent and slow ball which makes the batsman in dual mind in
hitting & make mistakes.</span><br />
<div class="text_exposed_show">
The recent untimely Death of Phil Dughes, proves that uncontrolled and
bullet fast balls can "kill" the batsman on the spot. I feel that, to
safe guard such mishap of losing life in this renowned field game, the "
under Arm" bowling action must be reintroduced in all the cricket
matches. No spinner can ever KILL a batsmen even if he wants to
>>>.. A divinity in action in bowling fast bouncers will greatly help the batsman facing the ball moving at Bullet speed..<br />

continuously going on for the past few weeks. But so far no decision could be
taken by the Government due to different approaches of the political leaders.
This was mainly lingering on the acceptable standard of the BARS that can be
permitted to sell liquor. What are the standard specifications for sale of liquor
was the query raised by the honorable court. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>IsThe quality of liquor and its degree of
Intoxication, the criteria for standard alcoholic drinks? What I could see
on the bottle is only the remarks “Alcohol is injurious to health” and also the
% of alcohol in the content for the guidance of the people who go to the liquor

<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Bradley Hand ITC"; font-size: 16pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Presently we have umpteen problems in daily life in
respect of safety in TRAVEL/BAD ROADS WITH POT HOLES & PITS throughout the
state and also Price rise in all commodities both edible and non edible..
Instead of attending to these severe social evils, we are trying to fix up
standards for bar hotels to serve liquor! The officials must fix up the
PRIORITY for mitigating the hazards of daily life of the common man and take
prompt action instead of “BEATING ABOUT THE Bush”. We hear, almost daily on
fatal accidents on the ROADS/Railways/AIRPLANES/ and also deaths due to
SUICIDES/COLD BLOODED MURDER/ and diseases causing loss of human life more than
the damages due to drinking from Bar hotels.. <o:p></o:p></span></b></div>

characteristic style of writing a book. Freedom of speech does not mean that
one can say or write whatever comes in one’s mind. Her speech on a public stage

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The above were
the reported words of the honourable Judge A.R.DAVE, seen in the Malayala
Manorama KOCHI dated 03.08.2014 .How could such thought come in the mind of a
judge, who is believed to be impartial in his judgments?.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I feel that the saying” Sober as a Judge”is
not in tune with the words he spoke in the public meeting.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

an esteemed person is really causing anxious moments in the minds of people who
always expect impartial and natural justice from any legal authority , while <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>pronouncing judgment<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>in cases of people belonging to different

such words from a reputed judge may not be clear to many of the readers of this
news. As a senior citizen over 80 years of age, I am unhappy.. He would have
been trying to prescribe a Social Catalyst to trigger a sense of unity by introducing

<span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The other

children at an unmanned level crossing, as reported by the media. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Such fatal accident caused due to the

<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>WOMEN,S BANK-WOMEN’S HOTEL- WHAT NEXT?<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><o:p> </o:p></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">A separate banking facility for women is already in
place, so that women may transact their business without any male domination..
Now hotel for women! Here also the women will take charge of the hotel or
restaurant to save their own community of the female folk from atrocities and
other violent attacks from men.. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">These wonderful ideas were never thought of by our
ancestors in the past. May be that they wanted to maintain the unity of Men
& Women as “ One Body “ for peaceful living, even if some misdeeds occur
amongst the human beings. Difference of opinion and reactions will be there in
the society consisting of men & women. That does not mean that we must
separate them as two units and start working on separate establishments..Why
such overenthusiastic feelings of security for women by the “over smart” people
without going through the damage it can create in the social fabrics.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">In a place of work, if only women are employed, will
there not be any mishap? Everything will go in a Smooth and Congenial way? I do
not think so. There are umpteen cases of crimes nowadays against women by women
like, Theft, smuggling, women trafficking and other nefarious activities. They
are equally bad as men in the malpractices and breaking of Laws of the land.
The mere fact that crime against women is rampant does not warrant a “Separate
Enclosure” for women..We have sufficient legal measures to counter such
criminal cases from Men towards Women and vice versa! That being the situation,
why a “Mono Rail” travel in daily life of the people, segregating men &
women in different compartments?<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">In my earlier note on Women Banks, ironically I had
mentioned about providing a SEPARATE STATE for women so that we will ensure
absolute safety for women from men who are prompted to molest or spoil the
peaceful existence of women in the present set up..<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Many accidents occur on Roads/Railways and Air travel.
For that matter, are we going to close down all the transport systems in India?
The intention of my writing this note is to apprise the authorities that we
cannot change the natural habitat of human beings in their basic instincts and
behavior in life. Continuous counseling and awareness programs only will cure
the social evils to a certain extent. “Command & Control.” is the Essence
of administration. Then everything can be put in order. Otherwise we will
continue to “Chase our Shadows for nothing.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

budget provisions, should have used their EXPERTISE in advising the Government
early (Before the Event!) and not after wards with brilliant ideas ( “After the
Event”). This way of “putting the cart before the horse” may not fetch us
anything in the application of the Budget provisions on the practical field. At
the initial stage of the general budget, a comprehensive study by the Expert
Committee consisting of the renowned Economists would do better than the post
discussion…<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

maintenance of the <u>roads and bridges in Kerala is in a deplorable condition.
The roads are not safe for travel. No attention is being given to the regular
upkeep of the roads and bridges, for repairing the surface profile i</u>n good
condition. This pitiable state of the roads & bridges is due to the
indifferent and irresponsible attitudes of the PWD Engineers, who seem to be
not bothered about the standards of maintenance of the” running surface” of
roads and bridges. In the context of increased axle loads and frequency of <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>traffic, it is absolutely essential to have
constant monitoring of the scheduled maintenance.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Baskerville Old Face","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">My recent travel from Ernakulam to Kottayam on 14<span style="font-size: x-small;">th</span>
July, was terrifying and dangerous, particularly on the bridge crossing
Kaniyampuha river. Can anyone imagine coming across POT HOLES and uneven
surfaces on the bridge, as if driving in a PADDY FIELD! Why such careless
attitudes by the Engineers of the PWD?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>It seems that these Engineers are TECHNICALLY BLIND or they do not want
to exert themselves in such hard duties in maintaining roads & bridges.
Unless these inefficient officials are removed from SERVICE and able and smart
Engineers are put on the job, we will continue to have road accidents in future
occurring at one place or other in the state.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The intention of introducing the usage of seat belts
or helmets is to ensure safety of the Car & Bike users from fatal accidents
that are very frequent in these days. In fact the people who use the vehicles
& motor bikes must be thankful for such enforcement of safety rules, as
normally everyone likes to take short cuts at any cost!. To safe guard against
such casual and careless driving/riding, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>we should welcome such safety gadgets.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Now the recent arguments in the state assembly reveal,
that the orders for enforcing use of safety belts is being withdrawn as the
public are against such compulsory provisions of Law..Can we introduce any rule
for that matter, with the consent of the public? No it cannot be done as
everyone does not like any restriction in their life. Will anybody obey traffic
signals when the signals are out of order or when there is no traffic police
nearby?.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Unless the movements at
Junctions are restricted, there will be regular collisions and fatal accidents
every day.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

PRISONERS’ PARADISE?<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Of late, we have been hearing about the comfortable
stay of the prisoners in the Jail- “Janatha mythri jail as I may name it.
Unlike the earlier times, when prisoners were given restricted facilities, the
present generation of prisoners convicted for serious crimes are given freedom
to enjoy life in its “full measure”! The media expose many instances of such
undue privileges being taken by the prisoners. In fact I feel that the
prisoners are happy to remain in a secured environment with all attended
facilities which they normally do not enjoy while at home. .Also it may give
rise to a feeling that, the jail life is more comfortable than their own house
as they get free food, free recreation, free mobile service & what not?<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">As reported by the visual media, the prisoners are
contended with their “Resort like “stay in the jail, and may be reluctant to
avail any Parole! In this context I am reminded of Jagathi Sreekumar, the film
actor, who wanted to be arrested by the police for a comfortable stopover in
Police custody, so that he will be away from his opponents.. He was seen blocking
the road by stretching a mat and trying to sleep at the center of the busy
road!.That scene indicates that life in police custody or Jail is not uncomfortable!,<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">It is high time that we think of adopting stern measures
to create environments to the prisoners for their repentance and confessing their
evildoings and come out of the jail as sober persons doing good to the society.
Let us be serious in this matter…<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">We have plenty
of old and aged trees standing on both sides of the roads. These trees were
planted by our predecessors for providing shade & shelter to the travelling
public. These shelters to protect the pedestrians from the scorching sun, were
necessary as there were no motor transport then, as we have now. But now what
is happening? These inanimate trees (who cannot say that they are weak and
dying) are falling dead on the road, killing people. There have been many
instances recently about such accidents..<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The present
administration seems to be not bothered to cut down the “withered tree in time
before it falls down and kill the pedestrians or fall on the moving vehicles.
Frequent inspection by the local authorities, in this matter is inevitable as
such accidents will continue if old trees are not removed and new tree saplings
planted in their place.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">
<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">“Grow more
trees” is a policy of the Government, and therefore, it should be religiously
followed by the local administration to avoid old trees causing danger to life
& property. A proper survey of the withered & old tree in the locality
must be done and action taken to cut & remove them and plant new ones in
the same spot or nearby. Unless we ensure direct action in this matter, we may
continue to kill people on the road!<o:p></o:p></span></div>

party politics resulting in “Chaos” on all the days of the Parliament sessions
as well as the State level assembly. Command and control was lost in the process
of Administration to suite people of all walks of life, Rich or Poor. Due to
confliction of political aberrations and lack of unity in action, we lost the
tranquility of social life and the dents created by such overindulgence of
politicians have distorted the whole fabrics of social security and freedom. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

disturb the peaceful coexistence of people belonging to different religious and
cultural denominations. “Freedom with
Limitations” is the real freedom for our social networks. Due to grouping in
the political parties, we lost mutual trust & respect amongst the political

have a new outlook on our system of public administration. Let us have only one
Head at the center- A PRESIDENT- and one at the state level- A GOVERNOR- The
other Ministries will remain as such manned by officers of proven
abilities in the respective disciplines, from the IAS/IFS/IPS/IRS/ and such
other categories. The departments will work in the similar fashion as of now at
the center and state level. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The PRESIDENT & GOVERNORS will be elected by the people
of India without any party affiliation for a spell of five years. We must try
this system of government machinery for the coming years…<o:p></o:p></span></div>
