ONE LAW FOR ALL

Legal Coverage to Men & Women
The application of the provisions of Indian Criminal & Civil procedure codes is not uniform to Men & Women. Certain clauses give special protection to women as they are considered as feeble and delicate human beings, unlike men folks who are strong and can withstand strenuous life style. As the women belong to the weaker section of the society, the protection by the law was essential to save them from atrocities and sexual harassment by the antisocial elements.
But the present social scenario is different. The new generation, both men & women are equally competent to adopt or choose any type of job to maintain themselves.Women are now claiming equal status with men in almost all spheres of life. The job opportunities are equal in all the departments and in certain areas they are proving better suited, than men in the professional field. Even criminal activities are also committed by women individually or in connivance with the notorious men who take advantage of the provisions of the law. Women knowing that the law will protect them (under section 498 etc), overact and establish contact with notorious criminals and waylay innocent people….
The women of the modern society are not following the “old dress code”. They are using Men’s attire and move about “hitch hiking” unlike the olden days where women moved in modesty in public places. This change in life style of modern women has proved that there need not be any discrimination or disparity between the Men & Women in the society. The old saying- “Frailty thy name is Woman “is no more applicable to them. It can be “Cruelty thy name is Women & Men” in the modern context!
Under the circumstances the Law of the land, applicable to human beings, both in the Criminal Procedure Code & Civil procedure Code and any other provisions of the Law, must be the same for Men & Women of the modern era. No special provisions are necessary according to my view.

Training Center For Political Science

                         POLITICS THE SCIENCE OF ADMINISTRATION
( Formation of a Training Center- IIPS- Indian Institute of Political Science)
Earlier I had written on this same subject in my blog site. Very few of the present politicians know about the science of administration. They are carried away by forceful entry and “ Hit & Run” style of political activities on sudden impulses. The agitations and demonstrations followed by destruction of public properties and also fatal attacks on individuals are unchecked in the “Party politics”. In fact the leaders are to be held responsible for such damages and brought to book. The political parties, formed for the betterment of the people in the social & economical conditions, always turn out to be unsocial and undemocratic in their behavoiur in public places and even in the Parliament/Assembly – (the Sober & Sacred places of assembly of Elegant People)
How can we move forward in this highly competitive world economy when we are fighting each other on flimsy issues without analyzing the repercussion it will cause in our progress towards better living conditions for everyone at equal measure?
The idea of establishing an Institution for training up youngsters as better citizens in the political arena is a good venture. Educated people with zeal to serve the motherland will get opportunities to develop their knowledge in public administration in the true sense of Democracy. Such training centers will imbibe the spirit of common thinking and enable them to arrive at a decision on issues confronting the common man. Also mutual trust and goodwill and responsibility will go a long way in the nation-building process of Free India. Also it will eliminate the “In fight amongst the different groups, as all are on a common platform both in Theory & Practice.

URULPOTTAL -LANDSLIDES

                                      Landslides/Urulpottal
In olden days the natural calamities due to flood & storms were rare and only happened  at remote places on the mountain regions.
In the natural conditions of the earth’s structure, the rain water penetrates into the soil and finds its way through the natural cleavages in the earth and flows into the brooks/streams and then join the river. Now due to occupation of the mountain areas and construction of huge structures and leveling of the hills, caused damage to the ecological features and structure of the earth formation.
Also the natural vent in the subsoil for water percolation is blocked in many places due to random and haphazard excavations and construction activities. As a result, the water induces pressure in the soil and escapes through the least resistant route and causes sudden outbursts called “URULPOTTAL or Landslides. Thus by blocking the natural cleavages of the underground waterway, the subsoil water do not have free outlet. The pressure due to impounding water- flow, finally bursts open the earth’s surface and come out with fury and washes off everything in its way.
This is most probably the cause for such calamities. We may therefore study very carefully the ground conditions and the Geological strata of the hill areas and protect the natural cleavages/faults in formation of the underground, so that nothing obstructs the natural flow of the subsoil water. Geological experts may have to study in detail on this aspect early, so that corrective actions can be taken to prevent “Man made Calamities”.

LIFE IN PRISON

                                       JAIL A RESORT?
In the ancient days people were afraid of Jail Life as the life in jail was unbearable with all sorts of hard works to be done from morning till evening under the strict command of the jail warden. Therefore the crimes were rare and only petty cases were reported.
Nowadays the Jail life is different from olden days. It has almost turned out to be a health resort or a place of entertainment with all types of comforts given to the convicts under the “political sponsorship”. Many times there have been instances of prisoners coming out on parole and continuing their criminal activities under the cover of political leaders.
Punishments are to be one and the same for every criminal who has committed similar criminal offences, irrespective of the social status of the offender. But we see differential treatment to persons according to their political links with the ruling or opposition parties. This kind of “Loose Belt Action” gives rise to a feeling of security to the culprits who may not hesitate to commit crimes repeatedly as they can foresee the outcome of the case without any personal injury or monetary loss.
Punishment given to the offenders must be at par and no discrimination shown to anyone due to fear or favour. Change of mental attitude and repentance can come only if the prisoners are restricted in their jail life by creating almost an isolated stay. Such loneliness will give them ample opportunities to change their mind set and become better human beings. But if all the comforts are given in jail, then the net result will be different. Instead of repentance, they will come out with vengeance and they will again turn out to be criminals in the society.
Sympathetic consideration is to be given in their environment but to a limited extent, with empathetic approach so as to enable them to become acceptable persons in the society. In such a situation, these prisoners, when they come out of the Prison compounds, will be better citizens with zeal to face life in its entirety without ill will to others.

A YOUNG MAN DIES IN CUSTODY

              GOD’S OWN COUNTRY- KERALA- TO- DEVIL’S PARADISE-HELL

Sri.  Sathna Singh a student of religious studies, as informed, from the state of BIHAR visited Kerala recently to see Amrithanandmayi in her Asram. This young man with his enthusiasm to go near Amrithananthamai was trapped in the crowd by the “religious soldiers” who always form a defensive circle around Mother to protect the GODLY lady from external attack!! These people termed this young man as an intruder or terrorist and handed over him to the police for interrogation followed by treatment in the mental asylum. The end of this young man was disastrous. He died in custody and the body was packed in coffin and sent to his parents in Bihar.

The above is the news we all heard in the media.
Of late we have been seeing people going out of control in Body & Spirit, both in the Religious and Political circles. Overdoing of everything results in a state of lunatic nature in men & women. In this case, if the situation was handled in a religious manner, with patience the matter would have revealed the factual position and Mother would have found a solution to this young man’s queries. But the “well-wishers” of the Mother did not in their over action, give an opportunity to this young man from outside the state of Kerala, to give vent to his feelings with Mother. Instead he was ill-treated and was killed in the process.  How can one justify this kind of religious reaction from the so called “Godly people”?

Nowadays our tendency is to protect the GOD more than we protect our own fellow beings! This is strange, as we know that our GOD will protect us from the dangers of this life and from the Devil’s hand. The GOD does not need the protection from His creation.  The instant case is of very serious nature and the Religious leaders of all communities must deeply think about such atrocities being meted out to poor believers who do not know the “inbuilt devilish mantle” in some of the 2nd in command of such religious denominations.
