DEMOCRACY and RELIGION in INDIA

DEMOCRATIC  RULE AFTER  67 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

The recent agitations leading to disruption and adjournment of the Parliament and State assembly sessions, give rise to a feeling that we are undoing the whole principle of Democracy! Expressions in words and gesticulations are seen very often  going beyond the acceptable level of behavior of parliamentarians in the parliament gatherings. I have a feeling that, the fundamental theory of Democratic rule is forgotten, resulting in Chaos and uncertain moments in our political arena.

Religion and Politics are two independent units. They should not be mixed up each other causing dissimilar thinking amongst the different religious denominations and political groups. The government must be impartial in its dealings without any religious priority. Religious faith is purely a personal matter and no one should encroach the rights of an individual in his decision to get attached to a particular formation of “like minded “people.

A Divine approach is essential in the matter of Personal Belief of people in one particular Religion and no compulsion or external forces must be at work in this direction...

Mutual respect and tolerance amongst the political parties only can result in a peaceful administration of any Government set up. Extrovert thinking and action coupled with mutual respect only can streamline the administration and put it on a better pedestal for clean Democracy.

Let us all strain hard to achieve this END>>

ARE THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS IN POLITICS/

ARE THE RELIIGIOUS COMMUNITIES IN POLITICS?
The Religious leaders nowadays are “beating about the Bush. I have a feeling that they do not keep track of their assignments in enriching the sense of Morality and Godliness in Men & Women. Instead of concentrating on their intended duties, they undo their responsibility in correcting the way of life of the people around, and interfere with the political aspects of the society.

We have the elected representatives to upkeep the political/social and cultural needs of the people and create an atmosphere of peaceful existence of them with a common line of thought and action.  The dual nature of man always causes problems to the administrators and therefore they have to strike a “least line of resistance” in the Government machinery in formulating Policies to cater for all.

The Religious heads must concentrate on the daily lives of common man, spend time with them both in Sorrows and Happiness and instill in them the spirit of living together with mutual care and support. Constant counselling on moral side of life is an essential component in the religious teachings of all the religions.  According to the Bible, Jesus Christ went round the places and kept company with all people without any discrimination and shared the life of poor and marginalized sections of the society.
Of late we find that church leaders who are to follow the footsteps of Christ, are never seen with the common people to attend to their personal necessities. They are always under “cover” and do not expose freely to the public gathering like marriage reception and  do not participate  or share  the  company of the people in the common feast .. Why such distance is maintained by them, when our MASTER was with everyone during His Sojourn on this Earth
The Religious heads must stop the “Dog in the Manger” policy and confine themselves in the Religious aspect and teach the people to lead a life of tranquility & peace, instead of running about and criticizing the actions of the Government in the matters of “Policies & Procedures”
The press conferences and stage shows must stop and they must come back to the Biblical Teachings and lead the people in the right directions that GOD want us to live.
Our Religious hierarchy is slowly denting the fabrics of “unity in action” by all the religious denominations..
Politicians will look after the common needs of everyone, diligently and thoughtfully applying the Rule of Common Sense and the existing Law of the land..
A Divine approach to our problems will not go unanswered, as GOD is GREAT and above all understanding>>>

BAD POLITICIANS

POLITICAL INVASION IN SOCIAL LIFE
UNITY IN DIVERSITY IS OUR WATCH WORD WHICH IS FOUNDED ON A STRONG BASE IN OUR CONSTITUTION. ALL OUR POLITICIANS MUST BE AWARE OF THIS FACT WHENEVER THEY SPEAK EITHER IN PARLIAMENT/ASSEMBLY OR IN PUBLIC PLACES.

THE RECENT UTTERANCES OF SMT: SADHVI NIRANJAN JYOTHI IN THE PARLIAMENT DOES NOT SEEM TO BE A “SOBER STATEMENT”. SHE HAS GONE BEYOND LIMITS AND SPOKE AGAINST THE SOCIAL/RELIGIOUS STRUCTURE OF INDIA. I HAVE NOT COME ACROSS SUCH THOUGHTLESS SPEECH FROM RESPONSIBLE PERSONS LIKE, MPs MLAs  & OTHER POLITICIANS.

MINISTER OF HER NATURE IS UNFIT FOR SUCH POSITION AND I MAY REQUEST THE AUTHORITIES TO REMOVE HER FROM THE MINISTRY. DURING MY 80 YEARS OF LIFE, IN THIS MULTIFACETED COUNTRY OF OURS, I HAVE NEVER HEARD SUCH, UNBECOMING WORDS FROM A MINISTER OF THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT OR FROM ANYBODY FOR THAT MATTER.

THIS KIND OF “LOW PROFILE” PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO REPRESENT THE COMMON PEOPLE.  SUCH MEN & WOMEN ARE MORE DANGEROUS THAN THE “TERRORISTS”.
APOLOGY AFTER THE “IRREPARABLE” DAMAGE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. ANYBODY CAN CAUSE INJURY TO THE “SOCIAL FABRICS” AND THEN SAY “SORRY” :
THAT IS ARROGANCE AND NOT GENUINE CONFESSION FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE “HEART”.
BEWARE OF SUCH POLITICIANS ,WHO DO NOT HAVE A "DIVINE APPROACH" TO THEIR COMMITMENTS TO THE PEOPLE OF INDIA..
