DEMOCRATIC RULE AFTER 67 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE
The recent agitations leading to
disruption and adjournment of the Parliament and State assembly sessions, give
rise to a feeling that we are undoing the whole principle of Democracy!
Expressions in words and gesticulations are seen very often going beyond the acceptable level of behavior
of parliamentarians in the parliament gatherings. I have a feeling that, the
fundamental theory of Democratic rule is forgotten, resulting in Chaos and
uncertain moments in our political arena.
Religion and Politics
are two independent units. They should not be mixed up each other causing
dissimilar thinking amongst the different religious denominations and political
groups. The government must be impartial in its dealings without any religious
priority. Religious faith is purely a personal matter and no one should
encroach the rights of an individual in his decision to get attached to a
particular formation of “like minded “people.
A Divine approach is essential in the matter of Personal Belief of people in one particular Religion and no compulsion or external forces must be at work in this direction...
Mutual respect and
tolerance amongst the political parties only can result in a peaceful
administration of any Government set up. Extrovert thinking and action coupled
with mutual respect only can streamline the administration and put it on a
better pedestal for clean Democracy.
Let us all strain hard
to achieve this END>>
