Violent Demonstrations

To my Indian Friends

SOCRETES the Greek Philosopher was condemned to Death attributing the Crime- "Corrupting the Young". I do not think that Socretes has done anything worse than the present political leaders! Then what can be the punishment to those Leaders who motivate and instigate the masses to destroy public property and even kill people? This type of "Political Invation" doing Violence causing heavy damage to property and life cannot be allowed to continue any longer.

Not a single day goes without a Bundh or similar disturbances in the State of Kerala ,causing interuption in public life and thereby endangering the life of peace loving people. Does this kind of Violent demonstrations have any Legal coverage, when it is injuring the privilege of a citizen in his/her fundamental right of Freedom of living? I do not think so. Then why such happenings daily in this "Free India"? If we do not have faith in our own Elected members in State Assembly and in Parliamnt, then why we elect them? The answer lies in the fact that the present day Elections are all "Forced Issues" under threat of life by the violent elements in the party leadership!. If there is no difference between the life Before Independance and life After Independance then why we elect the wrong person in the Democratic set up?.No doubt people can give vent to their feelings and resentment through peaceful demonstrations. Such type of reactions will never cause damage to the general public or disrupt normal day to day activities. The violent and aggressive nature of protests are arising from the Political rivalry in our DEMOCRATIC set up. The politicians have a feeling that they should support their party in whatever deliberations they make without a logical approach in analising the acceptability of the Decision. This kind of Politically blind touch will definitely lead to a DEMONOCRATIC rule!. Irrepairable damages have been done in most of the recent Bundhs to public properties and Human life and Peaceful existence of Human beings is at Stake.

Unless the Government Officials in Authority take prompt and stringent action to curb such desstructive demonstrations by any Group whatsoever, public safety and harmonious living of the people will be in Danger......
